As we mark Disability History Month (November 14 – December 20), it’s important to reflect on the progress made in supporting individuals with disabilities, as well as the challenges that remain. This month, we honor the resilience, achievements, and contributions of people with disabilities throughout history. What is Disability History Month? 

Disability History Month in the UK is an annual celebration aimed at raising awareness of the struggles faced by disabled people and promoting equality. This year’s theme focuses on “Disability, Health, and Wellbeing.” The movement highlights the ongoing need to challenge discrimination, break down barriers, and provide equal opportunities for all. Over 13 million people in the UK are living with a disability, yet many continue to face social, economic, and workplace exclusion.
