In 2020, TGC Aberdeenshire South was awarded the contract for office cleaning at their new premises in Altens that had been purpose built to include accommodation for drivers who need somewhere to stay between jobs.
The previous offices had essentially been portacabins and the move to new premises created a requirement for a fresh approach to the cleaning of the offices. They see heavy footfall every day from customers and drivers in and out of the offices, often arriving with dirty boots, which potentially could create a dirty and unhygienic working environment for the team based there. At the same time, the new accommodation rooms need to be turned around regularly for different drivers making use of the company’s overnight facilities.
Tidy Green Clean Aberdeen South’s Regional Director, Grant Peterkin created a cleaning schedule to meet Grampian Continental’s needs. His team of two clean the offices five days a week and they also machine scrub the office floors to ensure the offices remain healthy and hygienic throughout the week. They also provide a full cleaning service for the accommodation provision to make sure drivers and other Grampian Continental employees who overnight there, are comfortable and rested while they stay.
