Tidy Green Clean Edinburgh launched in June 2021, owned and led by Regional Directors Callum Cruickshank and Grant Peterkin. Already TGC franchise owners in Aberdeen, they recognised that the opportunities available in Edinburgh were worth investing in.
The biggest lesson they have learned is that there’s no substitute for having someone on the ground to build relationships and demonstrate the values that make Tidy Green Clean all that it is.
Enter Keith Armstrong! He’s the Regional Manager responsible for TGC Edinburgh, and he’s certainly hit the ground running, picking up new contracts and getting to know the commercial heart of this great city; the business is already exceeding initial expectations. This is his blog, talking about the business and what attracted him to Tidy Green Clean in the first place.
Joining Tidy Green Clean has been a fantastic opportunity to progress my career and prove myself while experiencing the new city in which I now live. With the world opening up again, I really am excited about experiencing the proper Edinburgh and so happy my new role can help with this.
TGC Edinburgh covers so many sectors and services, being able to provide a ‘one stop shop’ for customers is brilliant and I’m also looking forward to networking in a city that’s new to me and meeting local business people.
There have been and still are so many things to learn and understand within my new role, which is great. I have a strong and successful background in sales and it’s been really exciting to put everything that I’ve done so much to work as I get to understand a completely new industry.
To be working with both Callum and Grant who have so many years’ experience between them under their belts means I know I’m in good hands – and so are our customers. They are both so ambitious and determined to deliver everything we promise and I am so delighted to be part of such a team.
It’s amazing to be part of a brand-new franchise, and very exciting to be involved from day one of something new, which I’ve never experienced before. I am really driven to see the business grow and understand every aspect of the business, whatever it takes!
I also really like how forward thinking and innovative TGC is as a company. The commercial cleaning technology and business systems we use are brilliant and the thing I noticed, even before I came on board, is how everyone at TGC is always looking to invest in tech at whatever level that might be.
It’s clear that throughout TGC, the staff are the centre of the business and are really looked after, with such things as Living Wage standards and so on. I think that would be appealing to any new employee joining a new company.
Alongside that, you’ve got the use of such eco-friendly products and services, which is a huge benefit. I personally feel its so important and it also helps massively to help maintain the world around us
I think for me, it’s been one of the best starts to any new role that I’ve had. I am really happy to join an industry that is critical in supporting and assisting others businesses returning to work after the pandemic. The ISO accreditations, Achilles Silver award and now our Carbon Negative status all really supports this. For people in every sector to feel safe returning to work is hugely important and I feel privileged we can help with that.
