As the year draws to a close, Tidy Green Clean (TGC) is taking a moment to reflect on the journey that was 2024. We have not only expanded our operations but also built stronger relationships with our clients, and made substantial progress in our mission to be a leader in environmentally friendly cleaning practices.
2024 was a landmark year for TGC in terms of growth, securing £1.6 million in new contracts, a testament to the trust our clients continue to place in us. This growth reflects the increasing demand for our sustainable and high-quality cleaning services, and we are incredibly proud to be a trusted partner to many businesses across the UK.
TGC’s sustainability efforts this year have been nothing short of transformative. Throughout 2024, our commitment to excellence and sustainability remained steadfast. Achieving Carbon Negative status for the fourth consecutive year through Carbon Zero was a proud accomplishment, while advancements like a streamlined supply chain and increased reuse of plastics reflected our ongoing dedication to reducing environmental impact.
By reducing landfill waste and championing innovative practices such as robotics in cleaning, we have not only minimized environmental harm but also set a benchmark for eco-friendly cleaning practices. These initiatives have not only made a tangible difference but also underscored our role as leaders in sustainable business practices.
The TGC family grew in both size and strength in 2024. We welcomed Scot Thompson as Business Development Manager and celebrated Scott Melville’s successful launch of the Tidy Green Clean Tayside franchise, further expanding our reach across Scotland. This exciting milestone allows us to serve more communities while maintaining our commitment to exceptional service and sustainability.
Team development remained a priority, with initiatives like away days fostering camaraderie and aligning our vision for the future. While challenges arose, they reinforced the importance of constant planning and a proactive mindset—turning obstacles into opportunities for innovation and growth. It’s been a transformative year, driving us closer to our mission of providing eco-friendly cleaning solutions to businesses everywhere.
In 2024, Tidy Green Clean proudly supported community events and initiatives that fostered connection and contributed to great causes. From promoting fitness at Run Balmoral and the Dunecht Dash to spreading holiday joy at the Aberdeen Science Centre’s Christmas with Santa, our efforts reflected a deep commitment to the communities we serve.
We were honored to support impactful causes like the CLAN Ball for cancer support, the CHA community fund for local charities, and youth development through our partnership with Aberdeen Grammar Rugby. These initiatives highlight our dedication to making a meaningful difference beyond our business.
At Tidy Green Clean, we believe in setting bold targets—and 2025 is no exception. We’ve set our sights on achieving £10 million in turnover, a milestone that reflects our ongoing success and the trust our clients place in us. Another key focus for 2025 is obtaining B Corp certification, a prestigious recognition for businesses that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance. Pursuing this certification underscores our unwavering commitment to ethical practices, sustainability, and creating a positive impact on the planet and our communities.
